PRODUCT / SIX MODULES
One screen for everything the company is actually running
WarBook is not another project management tool. It puts the six things a small company really runs — intel, windows, tasks, approvals, daily reports, ledger — into one state model, stored in one git repository you own.
| Module | Code | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Scout grid | INTEL | RSS, rankings, competitor and policy pages become one severity-ranked briefing stream. |
| Window scout | WINDOW | Grants, competitions, licences and funding windows with countdowns and gap owners. |
| Fleet ops | FLEET | Multi-machine heartbeats, identity fingerprints and fail-closed audit for agent fleets. |
| Command deck | OPS | One-screen standup, weekly goals and a founder approval queue with context. |
| Daily feed | DAILY | Daily and weekly reports aggregated from task and commit events, not typed by hand. |
| Ledger | LEDGER | Release pipeline, store ratings and project-level P&L on the same screen. |
BOUNDARY // WHAT WE DO NOT DO
Three things we deliberately skipped
NO
Not a document suite
Writing docs, whiteboards and spreadsheets are solved. WarBook only fills the layer where deadlines must be watched.
NO
Not an agent IDE
Session-level tools already exist. We track what the company is doing, not a single conversation.
NO
Not an enterprise permission matrix
1–15 people do not need RBAC. SSO and audit export live in the enterprise edition only.
DEPLOY // REQUIREMENTS
You need a folder, Python and git
- Python 3.9+, git, and one machine that stays on
- About 20 MB of plain text — no binaries, no node_modules
- Data lives in your own git repository; no cloud account, no telemetry
- Runs offline. The only network feature is the optional RSS scouting
HONEST // IF YOU HAVE NO ONE TO RUN IT
Then do not buy the self-hosted edition
If nobody on the team will touch a terminal once, self-hosting becomes a burden within three months. Use the templates and the live deck instead, or wait for the cloud edition.
